How We Actually Work Together

Financial planning doesn't need to be mysterious. Here's what happens when you work with us.

Real Conversations First

We start by talking about where you are now and what you're hoping to achieve. No forms to fill out before we even meet—just an honest discussion about your situation.

Plans That Fit Your Life

Your financial plan should reflect how you actually live, not some textbook scenario. We build strategies around your real priorities and constraints.

Education Along the Way

You'll understand every recommendation we make because we explain the reasoning behind it. The goal is for you to feel confident about your choices.

Why I Started Doing This

After watching too many friends struggle with financial advisors who talked at them instead of with them, I decided there had to be a better approach. Most people aren't looking for complicated investment strategies—they just want someone to help them figure out if they're on track.

I've been working in financial planning since 2014, but I started Cognivor Reamix in 2019 specifically to focus on education-first planning. That means we spend time making sure you understand your options before making any decisions.

The name came from a conversation with a client who said our sessions helped her "digest" financial concepts that had always seemed impossible. Financial literacy shouldn't be reserved for people with economics degrees.

What We Help People With

These are the areas where most of our clients need support. Your situation might involve one or several of these.

Retirement Planning

Figuring out if you're saving enough and how your RRSP, TFSA, and other accounts should work together. We also look at when you might be able to retire and what that transition could look like.

What People Say After Working Together

Britta Landvik

Britta Landvik

Small Business Owner

I'd been putting off retirement planning for years because every advisor I talked to made it sound impossibly complicated. Our first session was different—we just talked about my goals and concerns. By the third meeting, I actually understood my options and felt good about the choices I was making.

Healthcare Professional

What I appreciated most was the honesty. When I asked about a financial product I'd seen advertised, the response was straightforward about why it might not fit my situation. That kind of transparency is rare. I left with a plan that made sense for my family's actual needs, not someone else's commission structure.
